Blacklist of the AMF: 247 binary options brokers to avoid!

Financial Markets Authority AMF france

The Financial Markets Authority, the AMF, has just updated its blacklist of binary options brokers in September 2015; the list now includes 247 banned brokers. The number of brokers that are in this blacklist continues to grow over the months. Although this is disturbing, keep in mind that there are serious brokers that are authorized by the French financial regulator, unlike brokers on this list!

The AMF’s blacklist of binary options brokers

Above is the blacklist updated recently (September 2015) by the French financial markets regulator, the AMF (Financial Markets Authority). The regulator has compiled this list which currently includes 247 binary options brokers; these are banned brokers that are not allowed to provide services to French traders. All of the brokers that appear on the blacklist of the AMF do not have licenses issued by local financial authorities and some of them are even the object of binary options scams. Therefore, it is important to avoid the brokers that appear on the blacklist and not use their services.*

Authorized and regulated binary options brokers

Opting for a regulated binary options broker is the most sensible choice that an individual can make when launching a trading career. Regulated binary options brokers are brokers that have received various authorizations and licenses from national and international financial regulators. For example, the most regulated binary options brokers in this industry belong to the company “Safecap Investment Ltd.”, such as 24winner, OptionTime and TopOption. Theses brokers have licenses from the AMF (France), the BaFin (Germany), the CNMV (Spain), the CONSOB (Italy), the FCA (United Kingdom) or the CySEC (Cyprus – (E.U.)).

Thanks to the licenses that they have received from competent financial authorities, these binary options brokers reflect a serious image but also quality services. The practices of regulated brokers are recognized by the financial authorities and are considered by the latters to be in compliance with the local financial regulations. Regulated binary options brokers can therefore legally and freely offer their services to traders who reside in the country corresponding to their authorizing regulators. Also note that regulated brokers maintain relationships with recognized and reputable leading banking institutions. They have a strict policy to protect traders’ funds by keeping traders’ money separate from the company’s money on separate bank accounts, thus allowing the brokers, among other things, to be creditworthy and to pay traders regardless of the financial situation of the parent company to which they belong.
